Something of a mystery surrounds Art: it has no external purpose or practical use, but originates purely from the inner needs of a human being. On the other hand its effectiveness can enrich life, bring beauty or cause rejection but it awakens consciousness and elevates the human being. In his lectures on „Art as Seen in the Light of Mystery Wisdom“ (CW 275). Rudolf Steiner describes how the fine, visual and musical arts are related to various aspects of our human nature. By opening these arts to our senses we nourish our inner life.
We would like to investigate the specific relationships of architecture, sculpture, painting, music, poetry and eurythmy, not only to being and becoming human, but also focus on the contemporary relevance of each form of art-expression.
