The first Goetheanum as a total work of art

The first Goetheanum stood on Dornach Hill for only ten years - then it was destroyed by arson on New Year's Eve 1922 / 23. Since 1913 people from 17 nations had created a unique total work of art from all genres during the First World War, which makes anthroposophy visible in its creative impulse and at the same time offers a mirror for the perception of one's own fate.

With a view of the 100th anniversary of the fire, we would like to make the first Goetheanum visible and tangible in its everlasting creative impulse with the series of lectures beginning in October 2021 until Christmas 2022.

Beuys Symposion – Die Evolution sind wir! Joseph Beuys/Rudolf Steiner

Es ist inzwischen kein Geheimnis mehr, dass der Künstler Joseph Beuys sich immer wieder auf die geisteswissenschaftlichen Forschungen von Rudolf Steiner bezieht. Überraschend dabei ist, dass durch seine Zeichnungen, plastischen Arbeiten, Installationen sowie Vorträge, sich wichtige Aspekte erschließen, die Rudolf Steiners Überlegungen bisweilen ganz neu erleben und damit höchst aktuell werden lassen. Markant wird dies an seinen zahlreichen Zeichnungen und Aktionen zum Thema «Evolution», auf und in denen der dreigliedrige Mensch ebenso erscheint wie der dreigliedrige soziale Organismus, aber auch Begriffe wie Saturn und Jupiter, Ätherleib und Golgatha oder Sal, Sulfur und Merkur. Auch Beuys ging weit hinaus über das Bild von der Evolution, das Biologen, Geologen und Physiker uns lehren.
