Around a century ago, the anthroposophical art impulse was born from the pulse of the times. It brought an astonishing variety of new contents and forms of expression in all areas of art. These became groundbreaking for many artists and architects. Since its emergence, contemporary conditions, the arts and inner feelings of people have changed greatly. Old values and forms of expression have disappeared, new techniques, inner needs and existential questions have arisen due to the changed conditions of life and the world. How do the original art and architectural impulses created by Rudolf Steiner relate to the current situation? Have they become historical phenomena whose outward forms no longer appeal to most people, or do they still hold a barely understood potential for the future? If this is the case, the question arises as to how we can access its creative sources and what new skills we need to develop for this?
Anyone who feels connected to this art impulse and tries to work out of it will probably know these questions from their own experience. How do you experience this dynamic field, how do you approach it, and what prospects for the future do you see? At the Section meeting in November, we would like to open up a space to explore the current situation together with you and to reflect on future work options and to share our possibilities. Examples of your own artistic work are welcome!
