There is probably nothing that can illustrate the intertwined nature of spirit and matter more vividly than architecture. Every building arises from an thought that manifests itself through and within matter. But what happens when buildings are designed by computers?
The essays in this issue draw on an interdisciplinary conference entitled ‘Form, Identity and Development. The Significance of Design in Architecture’ held at the Goetheanum in autumn 2025.
A second focus explores the question of how spirit and matter come into being and what constitutes an artistic process.
