In partnership with the Anthroposophical Society in Great Britain the Visual Arts Section organized the Ascension Conference 2023 in this special place. It is the place Rudolf Steiner visited during a conference in August 1923 in the time between the burning of the first Goetheanum and the designing of the second building.
As visual artists and art lovers the participants dedicated themselves to observations of the landscape and stone settings, drawing on site, walks in the surroundings of the stone circles between the mountain and the sea. There were contributions to the megalithic culture and to the important meeting there 100 years ago, exchange and conversations about the meaning of Penmaenmawr in our time in order to get closer to its meaning and metamorphosis for contemporary artistic creation.
