A walk-in sculpture is to be created in the Goetheanum Garden Park as a meeting place for "bees and humans". The site will allow visitors to experience the way bees work throughout the year with all their senses and provide an insight into beekeeping at the Demeter apiary.
Rudolf Steiner talks about the bee colony as a model for a social organism of the future. The beehive will be built as a community project by volunteers using the traditional and locally anchored construction method of a half-timbered building made of wood and clay.
Clay workshop dates:
Fri. and Sat. August 9 and 10, 8 am - 5 pm.
Fri. and Sat. August 16 and 17, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Ev. Fri. and Sat. August 23 and 24, 8 am - 5 pm.
(It is also possible to help on just one day or half a day).
